Red sand piles are a gravity-affected layered red sand block that forms during sandstorms.
Obtaining
Breaking
Breaking red sand piles with any tool will drop 1 red sand pile item per layer. If a full block of 8 red sand piles is broken, a block of red sand will drop instead.

Post-Generation
Weather
Red sand piles will form on the surface of badlands during a sandstorm. Sandstorms in deserts will form regular sand piles instead.
Usage
Red sand piles may be placed on any solid block, except for barriers. They may also be placed on honey blocks, soul sand, and mud, despite those blocks not being solid.
If the supporting block below a red sand pile is removed, it will be affected by gravity and fall onto the next available block and become a block again. See the falling block page for more details.
