Kindlings are a summonable entity type in Spectrum, made using the Spirit Instiller. They are neutral mounts capable of high speeds and brief hovering, and act as the source for Bloodstone.
Spawning
Kindling Memories can be crafted at a Spirit Instiller after the player discovers Dragonbone. As with all memories, Vegetal must be placed in the center slot. 8 Dragonbone Chunks must be placed in one of the input slots, and the other must contain Jade Vine Petals or Jadeite Petals.
Behavior
Kindlings will roam an area at high speed when not mounted, and will engage in "play fighting" behavior. Kindlings will attack their owners or other kindlings, even when they are not angry. If a player attacks a kindling, or a hostile mob is present, a Kindling will shoot Primordial Fire at the target, dealing high damage causing fires. Kindlings can be sheared to drop Kindling Feathers. A sheared kindling takes damage and angers at the player that sheared them for a brief time.
Kindlings are incapable of sleep. If Somnolence (or a similar sleep effect) is applied to a Kindling via a splash potion or similar, it will shake before violently detonating in a large explosion, destroying blocks and placing Primordial Fire. Kindlings drop experience on death.
Effulgent Feathers
Effulgent Feathers are acquired by shearing Kindlings. They can be used to craft Effulgent furniture items (Effulgent Bed and Effulgent Cushion), or can be thrown in Liquid Crystal to convert into Raw Bloodstone.
Addon Content
Spectral Decorations adds Kindlings in every color, and Effulgent Feathers and furniture to match. These are purely visual, and the color of Kindlings can be changed with the Paintbrush like sheep.
