A Mechanical Placer, when powered with rotational force from the bottom and supplied with items in its inventory slot, will place a item (or interact with the item) directly in front of it.

Output can be transported.

As of the time of this page edit, items cannot be input into the Mechanical Placer by a hopper, funnel, etc. The Placer's inventory slot must be refilled by hand. It is also recommended to place blocks around it, so item don't shoot out the sides.

  A rudimentary lava farm using a Mechanical Placer as the star component (1.21.11).

  A starter chicken "crush farm" or breeder with the Mechanical Placer using the seeds inside to interact with the chickens as if it were the player, also generating experience (1.21.11).
