Brittle Ice is a weak form of Ice that will break when stepped on.
Obtaining
Breaking
Brittle Ice can be broken easily, but uses a Pickaxe as the preferred tool. If mined with Silk Touch, it will drop its item form.
Natural Generation
Brittle Ice can be found generating in sheets in the Frozen Ocean.
Some Frostologer Castles may also be found with a Brittle Ice trap on the second level.
Crafting
Brittle Ice may be crafted from Icicles.

Usage
Brittle Ice will crack and break shortly after being stepped on by most entities. When it breaks, it will leave air behind. However, if the frozen state is set to true, then it will leave water instead. Only naturally generated Brittle Ice sheets contain the frozen variant.
The following entity types will not break brittle ice: Rabbit, Fox, Endermite, Silverfish, Stray, Bat, Snow Golem, Frostologer, Chillager, Biter, all other #minecraft:powder_snow_walkable_mobs.
Ice Skating
Brittle Ice is a skateable surface for Ice Skates.
