A scroll is a consumable utility item in Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks that can be used to cast spells.

Obtaining

Level 1 scrolls can be obtained by combining ink, paper, and a focus at a scroll forge. Higher level scrolls can be obtained by combining the previous level scroll with ink at an arcane anvil. The tier of ink required in any recipe corresponds to the tier of the created scroll.

Spellcasting

Using a scroll will consume the scroll and cast the spell associated with the scroll as long as all conditions for the spell are met. Eldritch school scrolls cannot be cast and their titles are obfuscated until unlocked by using an eldritch manuscript, even in Creative mode. Scrolls can be inscribed into spell books with an inscription table for repeated non-consumable castings in exchange for mana and a temporary cooldown.
