Axle is a Rotation transmission block added by PolyFactory. It can be used to connect and transmit rotation in a straight, axis-aligned line without changing it's direction.

Usage with items

Several items can be used on the Axle, converting it into different blocks.

Steel Gear

When used with Steel Gear it will transform into Axle with Steel Gear. It preserves its default functionality, with additionally allowing to connect to other Steel Gears directly next to each other, reversing rotation direction and keeping the same speed and stress, or with a Large Steel Gear on diagonals, reversing rotation direction, but scaling speed down and stress up (or vice versa if the rotation source is from the Large Steel Gear).

Large Steel Gear

When used with Large Steel Gear, it will transform into Axle with Large Steel Gear. Similarly to Steel Gear, it preserves its default functionality and diagonally with regular Steel Gears. It can be connected with other Large Steel Gears if they are connected on different axis.

Windmill Sail

When used with Windmill Sail, it will transform into a Windmill. It also loses one side of connection, prioritizing first one that isn't connected to anything and one facing player otherwise.
