The Cloak of Frostology is an obtainable cape item that inverts the effects of freezing.
Obtaining
Crafting
Cloaks of Frostology are only able to be crafted from items found in the Frostologer's Castle.
Mob Loot (1.19.2-1.20.4 only)
In versions prior to 1.21, the Frostologer would only drop a Cloak of Frostology if they were killed by a player and their temperature scale was at or above 15%.
Usage
Inverted Freezing
When worn in the chest or cape[1] slots, the Cloak of Frostology will invert the effects of freezing, making it beneficial to be cold; but harmful to be warm. The temperature effects of a player wearing a Cloak of Frostology are as follows:

| 0% and below | Extra movement speed, increasing as you get colder |
| -25% and above | Mining Fatigue I, Weakness I |
| -75% and below | Resistance I |
| -99% and below | Haste I |
Wearing
The Cloak of Frostology will render a cape on the wearer, replacing any other capes that the player may have on their account. Unlike regular capes, this cape does have effects on the player; for a version of this cape without any effects see the Inert Cloak of Frostology.
When worn, the Cloak of Frostology will provide -3 Frost Resistance.
Enchanting
The Cloak of Frostology is always enchanted with Curse of Binding and does not have durability. If you put this cape on, the only way to take it off is to die.
