Red sand piles will form on the surface of [[Minecraft:Badlands|badlands]] during a [[Scorchful:Sandstorm|sandstorm]]. Sandstorms in [[Minecraft:Desert|deserts]] will form [[Scorchful:Sand Pile|regular sand piles]] instead.

== Usage ==
Red sand piles may be placed on any solid block, except for [[Minecraft:Barrier|barriers]]. They may also be placed on [[Minecraft:Honey Block|honey blocks]], [[Minecraft:Soul Sand|soul sand]], and [[Minecraft:Mud|mud]], despite those blocks not being solid.

If the supporting block below a red sand pile is removed, it will be affected by gravity and fall onto the next available block and become a block again. See the [[Minecraft:Falling Block|falling block]] page for more details.
